Description
This Kit comes with all three items shown.
If your printer has Marlin firmware, it has a number of powerful leveling systems built In. The most powerful of these, unified bed leveling or UBL, requires a sensor of some sort. The sensor could be as simple as a limit switch or as complex as a BL Touch. The most common sensor is a capacitive probe because it requires the least wiring, is easy to mount, senses almost any material and is extremely accurate. The problem is that most printers run on 12 or 24 volts, which is used to drive the fans and the motors but only use 5 volts for the sensors and controllers. A capacitive probe, on the other hand, is rated to require 6 to 36 volts. Also, the more voltage within that range that is supplied to the sensor, the more accurate it will be and the longer sensing distance it will have. To reconcile all of these requirements, we designed a voltage regulator module that allows you to supply either 12 or 24 volts to the sensor and return only 5 volts to the sensing pin. It also makes the wiring plug-and-play rather than requiring soldering. The package includes a capacitive sensor, the voltage regulator module and the cabling you’ll need. The sensor is a standard 18 mm cylinder, making it easy to design a mount for your particular printer. All you need to add auto leveling to your printer is this electronics package, a custom-designed mount for it and the proper Marlin configuration.h.
This is a modified version of the mounting bracket developed by the manufacturer. We have shortened it slightly to make it more accurate. We also supply the longer metric screws that will be required.
This splits a single JST XH fan connection into two.
